A Sunday at All Star Kids

To help you succeed as a leader, we make it as easy as possible.  Everything you need to lead a group will be ready for you when you lead.  All activities, games, and videos will be ready for your use.  We even create leader guides that you can use to prepare for the group.  You can also use those guides throughout the group, so you always know what’s coming next and what you can say to best lead the kids.

A typical Sunday at All Star Kids includes five elements:

  1. Leaders Arrive: Plan to arrive 15 minutes before serving.  This will give you time to review the group resources and welcome each family as they arrive.

  2. Social Time: The first ten minutes, as kids arrive, is a very important time in your small group.  At this time, kids have fun together, you get to know them, and it sets the stage for a fully engaged group.  We provide games and activities that can be used during this time.  Start strong with social time, and you are setting the stage for a great group.

  3. Bible & Worship Time:  After we connect socially, we turn our attention to God.   Some groups use the provided worship songs.  Others jump straight into the Bible story.  We teach the Bible using videos that teach truth in a way that kids can relate.   Encourage kids to focus on the teaching video as it is played.

  4. Application & Discussion Time:  After we learn from the Word of God, we want to understand what it means and how we can live what we are learning.  That’s what application and discussion time are all about.  Conversations with kids can go in many directions, so you will need to redirect the conversation often and celebrate the small wins as you see kids grasp the truth.  As a part of the application and discussion time, your group will pray together. This is one way we model our relationship with God and lead kids to trust Him.

  5. Home:  At the end of the group, families will pick up the kids.  As they do, thank them for bringing their child to the group and celebrate the things you noticed about their child today.  After kids are picked up, take a quick minute to return everything to the supplies box, wipe down the surfaces, and empty the trash can.

As you lead your group, be intentional with each of these elements, and you will see your group connect, grow, and have fun together!
