Hope, Peace, and Easter

We live in an anxious world.

Uncertainty about the future.
Regret about the past.
Questions about what's next in life
and what happens after death.

Easter speaks directly into that fear.

Peace With God
The resurrection changes how we view life.  The greatest problem in our lives is not circumstances. It is separation from God.  But through Jesus:  Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Peace is not positive thinking.
It is restored relationship.

Because of the cross and resurrection, we are no longer enemies of God. We are 100% reconciled with Him.

Hope Beyond the Grave
The resurrection also changes how we view death.  1 Peter 1:3 “In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”  Jesus also said “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die" in John 11:25.

Christian hope is not wishful thinking. It is anchored in a historical event: the empty tomb.  Because Jesus rose, death is not the end.

What This Means for You

Faith in Jesus brings:
Peace for today.
Hope for tomorrow.
Security for eternity.

Application:
  • Bring your anxiety to God in prayer.
  • Anchor your identity in what Christ has done.
  • Live with eternal perspective.

Reflection Questions:
Where do you most need peace right now?
What fears about the future are weighing on you?
Have you placed your trust in the risen Jesus?

Easter is not just a holiday.
It is an invitation.

An invitation to peace.
An invitation to hope.
An invitation to new life in Jesus.
