Thanks so much for serving on the Sunday morning STUDENT IMPACT team. On Sunday mornings, we give students their first look at God’s Word and their first step into Biblical community.
As a small group leader, you play a vital role in our vision to build relationships that build disciples. By connecting with students, leading discussions, and praying together, you will help students connect and grow.
Every time you lead, you will:
Create Safe, Welcoming Environments that help students feel welcomed and have a sense of belonging. Sunday student ministry gatherings are our open door to our student ministry, church, and the Gospel. Many of our first contact moments with students are on Sunday mornings. Keep an eye out for students you don’t know so that we can welcome, include, and engage with them, so they find their place and people at Student Impact.
Connect with Students and Parents. Relationships drive everything that we do, so we prioritize connection with students. Connection occurs during your group discussion time and before/after worship services. Prioritize connection and see trust build in your group!
Partnering with parents is also a key connection point within Student Impact. As you meet your student’s family, thank them for bringing their student to church and celebrate ways you are seeing them connect and grow.
Cultivating Growth as a Disciple. On Sundays with students, we teach the Bible in a blend of large and small groups. Most teaching will be done in large groups, with discussion and application happening in small groups. Each week, you will be provided with the speaker’s notes plus questions you can use to bring truth to life in your group.
Thanks again for leading and making a difference in the life of our church!
