USE THESE RESOURCES TO LEAD YOUR FAMILY TO HAVE FUN, LEARN FROM THE BIBLE, AND TRUST GOD TOGETHER.

GET STARTED

Each week at All Star Kids, we welcome kids into groups and have fun together so that everyone feels welcome and are prepared to learn and talk through what they are learning.  Have fun as a family and get ready for what's next.  Today's social activity is a game everyone can play using the video below.

WATCH THE BIBLE STORY

Each week at All Star Kids, small groups learn Biblical truths and discuss how they can live them out.  As a family, watch one of the teaching videos and learn how God is always with us and how we can always trust Him.  Today's Bible story comes from Ephesians 6:10-18.   Here's how to make the most of these videos.  First, choose the video that the youngest member of your family can relate to.  That way, they are included, and everyone gets to learn at their level.  Second, use the Bible Story Recap to strengthen your understanding or to review today's teaching with your kid(s).

Bible Story Recap

Paul reminded the Christians in Ephesus that, while they would face trouble in this world, their battle was not against people but against spiritual forces. When we experience brokenness and difficult things in this world, we can stand strong by remembering that God is always with us. We can resist the devil and temptation when we “put on” the armor of God.

Pray

Spend some time praying as a family.  If it helps, you can use this prayer prompt to get started:

God, thank You for always being with us. We trust that even when we face troubles, You are with us, and You are in charge. You can handle any situation! Because we know this, we also know we are secure. Help us to pray and talk to You, remembering that You are strong enough to handle anything. We love You! Amen.

DISCUSSION:  TALK IT OUT

Paul told the Ephesians—and us—that God is always with us. When we face troubles, we can turn to God and know that He will help us stand strong against the devil. God gives us spiritual armor that helps us be secure in Him.

  • Who is someone you can always ask for help, and know they will help?  (Parent, Teacher, Friend, Coach, etc.)
  • How do we turn to God for His help?  (We pray, trust Him, and obey Him.)
  • How does God's armor help us stand strong?
  • What can you do to remind yourself that God is always with you?
